IEC Provides Wind Site Evaluation for Silicon Valley Power

Santa Clara, Calif., April 16, 2007 – IEC Corporation has been contracted by Silicon Valley Power (SVP) to provide a wind site evaluation on approximately 2,000 acres of land near Santa Clara, California.

 The evaluation will use wind data provided by SVP and available data from California Energy Commission reports to calculate the potential wind energy production capabilities of the site based on the use of up to three different types of wind turbine generators. IEC will deliver a report which includes a brief summary of findings followed by preliminary turbine siting maps for each option, calculations showing gross and net production for each option and reference wind data.
