IEC to Provide Construction Management Services for Sanger Repower Project

SANGER, Calif., April 20, 2007 – IEC Corporation has earned a second contract with Algonquin Power Sanger LLC as part of its Sanger Repower Project. The new contract is to perform construction management functions for its repower project for the Algonquin Sanger Cogeneration Facility in Sanger, California. IEC’s original contract included preliminary engineering and detailed design services.

The project work will occur in two phases – the installation of the GE LM6000 PC SPRINT turbines as the first and the removal of the existing gas turbine with testing and commissioning of the new turbine as the second. IEC will create a construction schedule to coordinate construction activities, and maintain all other functions as needed at the construction site. In addition, Algonquin Power Sanger LLC has tasked IEC to perform project inspection functions for the site, including quality assurance and control, non-compliance work resolution, and inspection of all safety requirements for contractors throughout the project.
