IEC Provides Piping Code Compliance for City of Redding

REDDING, Calif., June 12, 2007 – IEC Corporation earned a contract with the City of Redding to provide engineering services to evaluate suspected piping code compliance issues at the Redding Electric Utility Power Generation Facility.

IEC investigated governing code and system requirements for pressure relief devices on the dump condenser sparger inlet and inlet steam piping, and the condensate to boiler feedwater crossover pipe. IEC staff performed a site visit, conducted code research, and prepared a final report which documented the code review, explained applicable sections of the governing code, and provided recommendations for compliance.
