SCA LM6000 Upgrade Project Balance of Plant Design Awarded to IEC

Sacramento, Calif., March 28, 2008 – Carson Energy Group has awarded IEC with a contract to provide design services for the proposed SPRINT Skid for Unit 1 of the SCA LM6000 Upgrade Project. The SPRINT Skid will require de-mineralized (DI) water, instrument air, and electrical power from the existing power plant. IEC’s immediate work scope includes an analysis of the existing DI water system to determine if the DI water pump system needs to be upgraded to enhance the flow capacity. Any suggested upgrades to the DI water system will then be analyzed with consideration of the long-term plan to also upgrade the other two LM6000 units.
