SMUD Entrusts Evaluation of Renewable RFO Proposals to IEC

Sacramento, Calif., April 21, 2008 – SMUD selected IEC to conduct technical evaluations of proposals submitted in response to SMUD’s 2008 Renewables Request for Offers (RFO). IEC will evaluate the renewable proposals using a variety of evaluation criteria, assess the likelihood of the projects being built, and generate a final ranking of the proposals to discuss with the SMUD evaluators. IEC and SMUD evaluators will then collaborate and compile their opinions on each project’s strengths and weaknesses; pose clarification questions, comments and suggestions; and recommend next steps for negotiations.
