The work will consist of engineering assistance to Roseville Electric in completion of the construction punch list, resolving and completing the warranty list, and support of Operations and Maintenance of the Roseville Energy Park. The Roseville Energy Park sits on an 8.9-acre site adjacent to the Pleasant Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant that began operation in 2004. The power generation plant’s proximity to the wastewater treatment plant will allow the city to use recycled water to cool the system and provide processed water for the facility. Designed with the latest advances, the natural gas-fired power plant features two natural gas turbines, each connected to its own generator, two heat-recovery steam generators, and one steam turbine connected to a third generator. The heat generated by the gas-powered turbines is used to create the steam that powers the steam turbine, enabling the plant to effectively produce the greatest amount of electricity from the least amount of natural gas. The plant’s normal operating capacity of 120 megawatts can be increased within minutes to 160 megawatts to meet summer demands.
