![]() SMUD Again Selects IEC for Distributed Generation Contract Support Sacramento, Calif., April 15, 2009 – The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) has again selected IEC Corporation to support its Distributed Generation and Combined Cooling, Heating, and Power (DG/CCHP) projects. This two-year contract will allow IEC to continue providing technical and environmental analysis for these projects. IEC will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential DG/CCHP projects at specific customer sites, such as a campus, district heating and cooling, or individual building projects, and preparing technical and economic feasibility studies that include electricity and heat/cooling loads and total energy economics for both the District and the customer.
IEC will also assist with a number of additional activities including: evaluating existing DG/CCHP energy projects or proposals, providing emission and total energy efficiency performance comparisons, analyzing possible fuel cell technologies and projects that may be used as DG and/or CCHP installations within the District, and providing technical writing and editing of reports. |
