SMUD Chooses IEC to Provide Renewable Energy and Transmission Technical Services

Sacramento, Calif., May 22, 2009 – The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) awarded IEC Corporation with a three-year contract to perform technical and environmental analysis to support the implementation of the District’s renewable energy goals. Additionally, IEC will provide technical expertise and support for transmission analysis of proposed renewable projects and recommend possible transmission actions that should increase SMUD’s capability to import new energy from renewable projects. This is IEC’s second contract with SMUD for this specific work scope.
