IEC Providing Wind Data Collection and Analysis for LADWP

Los Angeles, Calif., October 26, 2009 – The Pine Canyon Project, a wind power generation facility that is to be designed and owned by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), is undergoing preliminary engineering design and data analysis to verify its wind potential. Accurate wind potential data gathered from Meteorological (MET) towers would ultimately govern the project’s scope and strategically determine the placement of the turbines. To assist LADWP in this process, IEC is providing data collection and analysis services over the next three years.
