![]() Anchorage ML&P Awards Owner's Engineering Contract to IEC IEC Corporation recently earned a sole-source Owner’s Engineering contract with Anchorage Municipal Light & Power. This contract is in support of two power projects, one is a 30 MW simple cycle project (Plant 1) and the other is a 60 MW combined cycle project (Plant 2). The contract is anticipated to be a one-year $1.5M contract with two potential one-year $1.5M extensions for a total of three years and $4.5M.
As Owner’s Engineer, IEC will perform preliminary design at both plants, including design basis, general arrangement, plant one-lines, major system component specification and selection, system definitions and narratives, control system narratives and specification. IEC engineers will also provide electrical, mechanical and structural engineering reviews of plant and equipment, including equipment performance evaluations, and provide equipment recommendations in the form of cost benefit analysis and life cycle costs. Assistance will also be provided on a number of additional procurement, permitting, licensing, environmental, and inspection services. |
