SMUD Taps IEC to Evaluate and Recommend Best Practices for Distributed Generation Strategies

SMUD awarded IEC with a task contract to address the issues impacting the development of a distributed generation (DG) strategy and best practices for the region. Specifically, IEC is tasked with developing a summary of the key elements of a successful DG strategy; including specific policies, practices, and programs that have achieved positive results, and then providing recommendations for possible new policies or operational guidelines that will assist SMUD in supporting DG expansion within the SMUD service territory.
