IEC upgraded the existing 69kV Stockton Substation to accommodate two new 69kV transmission lines. IEC completed the comprehensive design of the substation, supported the vendor equipment procurement process, and conducted field engineering/inspection of the substation construction. IEC also designed the new 69kV Ripon Switchyard, which included all electrical and civil design engineering services. This substation was built to accommodate the two new 69kV transmission lines routed to the existing substation. IEC also supported the entire procurement process, provided an engineer’s cost estimate of the construction, and provided construction inspection services while the substation was being built. The client was pleased with IEC’s timeliness and ability to meet the aggressive project schedule, which led to IEC support of two additional generation projects and substations.
