IEC performed a site evaluation of a Wind Project site in California to observe and confirm existing facilities, topology, site access, and similar features in the general vicinity. IEC looked for topographical features that indicated favorable locations for met towers and eventual wind turbine location, including orientation to the predominant wind direction, ridgelines or valleys that would serve to funnel and accelerate local wind velocity, and other favorable factors. As part of the site analyses, IEC prepared a brief trip report summarizing the site visit and recommending locations for the number and type of Met Towers required to optimize wind data collection. Based on the results of the site visit and the recommended location and quantity of Met Towers, IEC then provided a quote to install and commission the recommended Met Towers.
