Roseville Energy Park AGC improvement Project

IEC won a contract to provide Master Service Agreement (MSA) for engineering and design support for the Roseville Energy Park from Roseville Electric.

CLIENT:

ROSEVILLE ELECTRIC UTILITY

Roseville Electric Utility owns and operates the Roseville Energy Park consisting of a 2X1 combined cycle gas turbine facility. Under the Master Service Agreement (MSA) for engineering and design support for the Roseville Energy Park, IEC was hired by Roseville Electric to improve and complete the Automatic Generation Control (AGC) logic in the plant control system (DCS) that was unfinished by the original EPC Contractor.

In addition to the AGC logic work, IEC also integrated automatic functionality to start the duct burners through new control logic to meet megawatt output demand. This included testing runs with dispatchers to prove system reliability.

Throughout the process, the client was impressed by IEC’s extensive knowledge and understanding of power plant operations. The client also appreciated IEC’s flexibility and willingness to fix issues and work on changes that were beyond the scope of work.
