IEC conducted a study on the technical and economic feasibility of combined heat and power (CHP), and thermal energy storage (TES), for the Sutter Health Elk Grove Medical Campus (Sutter). The feasibility study evaluated the cost to build, own, and operate a reciprocating engine cogeneration plant to serve the Medical Campus. The study evaluated a single engine configuration under two ownership cases.
