SCLA Distribution System Modeling

IEC provived engineering design services for a 12.47kV underground distribution system at VMUS' Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA).

CLIENT:

VICTORVILLE MUNICIPAL UTILITIES SERVICES

VMUS has a 12.47kV underground distribution system that distributes power to the Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) substation. IEC has maintained and updated the overall system single-line diagram in AutoCAD format. In addition, IEC created a system power flow model for the SCLA distribution system. Using the modeling software IEC calculated cabling voltage drops, performed power flow modeling for various circuit configurations, performed short circuit studies, and proposed new protection settings for protection devices within the substation.

As the SCLA system continues to grow, IEC updates the single-line diagram and the ETAP model so that VMUS has current system documentation. Update are promptly provided to VMUS with clear document management revision tracking so the version control is communicated clearly for users.
